Arab Jewish Center in Haifa produces the
events of the 2007 Arab Culture Month
Festival which will take place from
20.5.2007 until 20.6.2007.
The festival, celebrated now for its 28th
year, will take place in Haifa and in 40
Arab villages and mixed cities all over
Israel with the support of the
Ministry of Science Culture and Sport,
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the
Haifa Municipality and Sal Tarbut, and
with the cooperation of Embassies, the
Baha'i World Center, and others.
The goal of the festival is to present the
cultural achievements of the Israeli
Arab citizens in the fields of folklore,
music, theater, art and culture.
Special emphasis is placed this year on Eastern
Western Cultures Encounter towards
familiarizing the Jewish population with
the Arab Culture. Artists and folklore
troops from Ramallah and Gaza as
well as guests from Belgium, France,
Czech Republic, Morocco, Jordan, LA -
USA and Qatar will take part in the
upcoming Arab Culture Festival.
The Opening Ceremony will take place in Haifa,
at Beit-Hagefen, on Sunday 20.5.07 in
the presence of the Mayor of Haifa,
heads of Arab villages as well as Arab
and Jewish dignitaries from all over
Israel.
